- 1980 to 1987 - Worked for Godwin Construction Company, Inc.as a laborer and equipment operator.
- 1993 - Graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.
- 1994 - Started working with Palmetto Paving Corp. as a salesmen/Project Manager.
- 1996 - Completed the Hot Mix Asphalt Design Course from Clemson University.
- 1998 - Completed the Asphalt Roadway Inspectors Course from Clemson University.
- 1999 - Moved to Florence, SC to run the Florence Division of Palmetto Paving Corp.
- 2001 to Today - Moved to Myrtle Beach, SC to take over as Vice President of Palmetto Paving Corp, Specializing as the chief financial officer.

- 1999-2001: Shane Gibbs was employed with APAC Ready Mix as a Ready Mix Driver.
- 2002-2004: Employed with Benton Concrete & Utilities as a Foreman/Curb Machine Operator.
- 2005-2006: Hired as Project Manager of the Concrete Division with Palmetto Paving Corporation
- 2006-Present: Shane Serves as Vice President of Concrete Operations with Palmetto Paving Corporation
29/06: Craig Berkey
Craig Berkey joined Palmetto Sealing in 2007 as Vice President, responsible for all operational and financial aspects of the company. Craig brings 25 years of experience in engineering and operations management.
Prior to joining Palmetto Sealing, Craig worked for AVX Corporation, manufacturer of electronic ceramic components, for 25 years. He held multiple positions in engineering management and operations management, including responsibility for three US manufacturing facilities in the Advanced Products Division.
Craig holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Penn State University, where he studies focused on ceramic science and engineering.

29/06: K.A. (Ken) Atkinson, Jr.
Ken is a 38 year veteran of the Highway-Heavy industry. Prior to joining Palmetto Paving Corporation in 2006, he was Vice President of the South Carolina Division of APAC, inc (Ashland).
He is a member of the Board of Directors of the South Carolina Asphalt Pavement Association and a member of the SCDOT/Carolinas AGC Joint Cooperative Committee.
He serves on the Palmetto Paving’s management team and coordinates the scheduling and execution of asphalt paving operations.
Management team cooperation enhances the efficiency and productivity of all areas of the company.
He is a member of the Board of Directors of the South Carolina Asphalt Pavement Association and a member of the SCDOT/Carolinas AGC Joint Cooperative Committee.

28/06: Eric Faulk
As Vice President of Quality Control and Design, Eric manages three palmetto paving corporation research and design laboratories. He is responsible for the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of various hot mix asphalts – both in the laboratories and on the jobsites. Working with SCDHEC to ensure corporate compliance concerning Palmetto Paving Corporation’s Nuclear Density Gauges has been under Eric’s control since 2000.

After graduating from Conway High School in 1995, he attended the College of Charleston for Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. In 1999, Eric completed the ARTS course with Clemson University and began full-time employment with Palmetto Paving in the Quality Control department as a roadway inspector. In 2000, Eric took over as the vice president of quality control & design and has since completed the following:

One of our larger sitework contracts is with Gillam & Associates, and itis for the new Wal-Mart super center opening in Dillon, SC. The schope of work includes the clearing and grubbing of the site location to the grading and installation of storm drainage materials to the paving and striping of the final product.
John Blanding is the onsite project manager working out of our Florence office. Work began near the end of March and our sitework/asphalt pavement will be complete at the end of October, 2007. The store is scheduled to open on December 1, 2007.
